CANBY, Ore. – Officers discovered 21 pounds of methamphetamine after pulling a suspect over on Interstate 5 Wednesday evening, police said.
Around 10 p.m., a state trooper and sheriff’s deputy stopped 32-year-old Omar Rodriquez of Canby on the interstate. The deputy’s dog alerted the officers, and after a subsequent search, police found the drugs, said Sgt. Robert Wurpes with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
Police estimated the street value of the meth to be over half-a-million dollars.
Wednesday’s seizure marks the biggest meth bust in the Clackamas County Inter-agency Task Force’s history.
