KEIZER, Ore. -- Police were questioning two teens after a woman died and a man was seriously injured by gunfire in the 4800 block of Ventura Loop North.

Police said the boys were being questioned as suspects in the homicide, discovered after a security alarm brought police to the scene about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

No arrests have been made. The public is not at risk, police said. The dead woman and injured man lived in the home and knew the two suspects, police said.

Shocked neighbors told KGW the victims were "great people" and had a son and daughter. They were devout Catholics and attended Mass regularly.

The case remained under investigation and police said more details would be released later.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call Detective Ben Howden at 503-390-3713, and reference Incident #14-1842.
