PORTLAND – Two men were injured early Saturday morning after a possible gang-related shooting outside a Northeast Portland bar.

Around 1:40 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at Magoo’s Bar and Grill at 5028 NE 42nd Ave.

The manager of Magoo's said one of the patrons of his bar, which is staunchly anti-gang, was hit by a stray bullet in the shooting. The patron suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in his leg and was taken to the hospital.

Another man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound was also taken to a Portland hospital by private car, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of Portland police.

According to Simpson, police believe the shooting took place outside the bar and was likely gang-related.

The Portland Gang Enforcement Team was investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident or gang-related crimes was asked to call the Portland Police Bureau's Tactical Operations Division at 503-823-4106.
