SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) — Springfield police have identified two men whose bodies were found outside a long-shuttered commercial building.
The Register-Guard reports (http://is.gd/Yc9riu) that the medical examiner's office will conduct toxicology tests as part of the investigation into the deaths of 24-year-old Stephen Andrew Smith of Springfield and 53-year-old Timothy Lowe Fleming of Vida.
A passer-by Thursday reported seeing the men apparently passed out in a breezeway of the downtown building that's frequented by homeless campers and drug users. About an hour later another person called 911 and said they were dead.
