COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) — North Bend police arrested a member of the U.S. Coast Guard who is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
The World newspaper of Coos Bay reports (http://is.gd/p5LyH6 ) that 20-year-old Luke Kanada of North Bend was conditionally released from jail Thursday after being charged with third-degree rape and other crimes.
Police say the charges stem from a relationship Kanada and the girl had this summer.
Kanada's arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
