OLYMPIA, Wash. -- State troopers arrested a man who collapsed on the State Capitol campus Monday after dousing himself in gasoline.
According to the Washington State Patrol the man parked his car near the Legislative building around 10 a.m.
Witnesses said the man, who was wearing camoflauge, poured gasoline on himself and started walking towards the Capitol.
Before he reached the steps, he collapsed from an apparent medical condition, said WSP.
A spokesperson for Governor Chris Gregoire said the man had dropped documents off in her office earlier in the morning. The spokesperson said the man did not make any threats to anyone in Governor Gregoire's office. WSP said the man returned to his car to get the gasoline.
