COLVILLE, Wash. -- A 10-year-old boy from Colville has pleaded guilty to plotting to hurt his classmates.
The Fort Colville Elementary School fifth-grader changed his plea to guilty on Monday to charges of conspiracy to commit first degree murder, tampering with a witness, and juvenile in possession of a firearm.
KREM-TV reports the Stevens County Prosecutor's Office says he will be sentenced on April 22.
He is one of two suspects charged in the plot. An 11-year-old boy is scheduled to appear in court next Monday.
Police say the boys brought a knife, a gun, and ammunition to the school, plotting to harm seven of their classmates. The plan was foiled when another student saw a knife fall from a backpack and alerted school staff.
