Clark County deputies said the initial home invasion happened at 1 a.m. Friday at an apartment at 1101 NE Minnehaha Street in the Hazel Dell area. The intruder went into the apartment in what police called a home invasion and shot the man.
Soon after a SWAT team filled the neighborhood looking for the suspect, a man walked into a nearby 7-Eleven and robbed the store at gunpoint. No one was hurt in that robbery.
The victim's girlfriend said the victim was shot in the back and stomach.
He was taken to a hospital. "My boyfriend was on the ground bleeding, crying, helpless,” the woman said.
“This guy came into my house and took my privacy and hurt my boyfriend."
