PORTLAND -- Police have identified the driver who died in a crash early Monday afternoon in Portland's Rose City neighborhood.
The driver of the car was identified Tuesday as 17-year-old Juan Cruz-Morales, according to Lt. Robert King with the Portland Police Bureau.
His passenger, 24-year-old Guadelupe Perez-Rodriguez, was cut out of the car and taken to the hospital. A condition report was not available.
The car appears to have been speeding northbound on 74th and unable to make the turn at the Halsey intersection, striking a light pole.
