OLYMPIA, Wash. -- A 74-year-old man was killed in an explosion at a fireworks plant in Olympia, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

A 25-year-old man was airlifted to Harborview with severe injuries and another person was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

The explosion occurred around 9:50 a.m. at 13313 Reeder Road in Olympia.

Neighbors say fireworks made at the plant are used at Mariners games.

The cause of the explosion is unknown. Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm agents are on scene.
