MOLALLA, Ore. -- Molalla police say two dogs suspected in a Christmas attack on a 21-year-old Molalla man will be euthanized.

The dogs were already taken into custody and put into a 10-day quarantine. Then, the owner came forward and surrendered the dogs.

A resident spotted the dogs days after the attack, trapped inside the building foundation of a former lumber mill.

They were described as very aggressive. Initially, authorities said they were Pit Bulls, but it was later determined that the dogs were an American Bully mix.

In the attack, Christopher Friesen, 21, suffered serious puncture, abrasion and crushing injuries. He was released from Silverton Hospital after treatment.

Police said the dogs attacked as Friesen walked to his mother's home.
