David French, 48, was charged with murder in the bludgeoning death of 51-year-old Frank Johnson last May. French jumped out of a third-story window in high heels when police forced their way inside the home he shared with Johnson.

Investigators found Johnson's body inside but they were not able to catch French.

Eventually, police in Rapid City, South Dakota spotted French in a grocery store parking lot and arrested him after a tip.

Police said French often dresses in women's clothing and also goes by the alias Zalia Crizta or "Z."

French was shown on the TV show "America's Most Wanted" following his escape from police and Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.

He was arraigned in court Friday morning and his next court appearance was scheduled for Jan. 30th.
