Possibilties for a new bridge include fixing up the old one as well as designs that would include bike lanes and shared foot paths.
The group of architects and officials are looking for public input on the cross sections for the bridge and west side interchanges with Highway 43.
When the impact statement is completed next spring, the policy group can recommend one of the alternatives or combine elements from different alternatives into a new hybrid.
The recommended alternative will be offered to the Multnomah County Board, Portland City Council and the Metro Council.
Officials are taking in comments on the survey through November 28.
