Portland streets reopen, including Foster Rd

Southeast Foster Road reopened Tuesday, with a small restriction of the eastbound right lane between 101st and 103rd avenues.

Standing water needs to recede and debris, mud, and rocks need to be removed before that lane can be reopened, transportation officials said.

Southwest Boones Ferry Road between Arnold and Stephenson was cleared Tuesday afternoon following an earlier landslide.

Cars in flooded Portland

Flooding closed several Portland area roads Monday and standing water on other streets created challenges for drivers.

Crews posted signs around the flooded areas, largely in low-lying Southeast Portland, and warned drivers to not try and take a chance, as several cars stalled because of the water.

In King City, Tualatin firefighters evacuated 16 homes due to safety concerns about current or imminent flooding in the area of Fischer Road and SW Queen Anne Avenue due to a backed-up culvert on Highway 99 Monday.
