Activist Bill Sizemore released from jail

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Anti-tax activist Bill Sizemore was released from jail Tuesday, a day after a judge found him in contempt of a court injunction and ordered him jailed until he filed various tax forms.
Judge Janice Wilson also ordered Sizemore to repay an as yet unknown sum of money which he transferred to himself using a network of organizations he had created.
The contempt hearing stemmed from a 2003 court injunction that barred Sizemore from using a charitable organization to raise money for political purposes.
Sizemore is widely known for his work on Oregon ballot measures. He was behind five initiatives that appeared on the November ballot.
