Woman falls from cliff near Neskowin

The Coast Guard responded to reports of a woman who had been swept out to sea after falling from a cliff on Saturday near Neskowin Beach.

The search was conducted Saturday afternoon after reports came in that the 22-year-old woman was swept south by the strong current in the area.
Crews searched by air and on the ground but could not locate the woman.
Dangerous conditions made it impossible for crews to continue searching rescue crews had to turn back and the search was eventually called off.
The woman's name had not been released.
Neskowin is located along the coast, south of Tillamook and north of Lincoln City.
