PORTLAND, Ore. -- Crime Stoppers in Washington have come up with a new incentive to catch crooks over the holiday season.

The program has always offered money for helpful information on wanted suspects but now it’s trying something new.

Crime Stoppers will give $250 cash and an additional $250 Visa gift card to anyone who has information on any felon found on its website.

Over the summer Crime Stoppers offered $250 gas cards and caught more than half of the wanted felons on its list.

Last year, the Tacoma Pierce County Crime Stoppers received more than 900 tips from citizens and paid out more than $25,000 in rewards.

The tips helped solve more than a hundred investigations and assisted in 52 felony arrests.
