The Portland Business Journal reports a request has gone in to the city to change the riverfront "Made in Oregon" Old Town sign to say "University of Oregon."
The university is opening offices, classrooms and a Ducks shop inside the building.
The sign was made for the White Stag textile company and later used by the White Satin sugar company. The deer is lit up like Rudolph during the holidays.
According to reports, the deer and the rest of the sign would remain the same.
The Made in Oregon store headquarters was the most recent tenant before UO.
