PHOENIX -- A California attorney is accused of trying to arrange a
sexual encounter with an underage girl in Oregon.
Irachmil B. Taus, 66, was arrested Friday at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel
in Pheonix, on one count of coercion and enticement of a minor, said FBI
spokeswoman Susan Herskovits.

The arrest of Taus, who lives in Scottsdale but has a Beverly Hills law practice, stemmed from an investigation by authorities in Hillsboro.
He had allegedly been trying to arrange a meeting through the Internet with a girl.
He made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Phoenix on Monday but will likely be taken to Oregon to face charges there, Herskovits said.
A Beverly Hills telephone number for Taus, provided by the California Bar Association, went unanswered Tuesday.
