St. Helens man scores Oregon MegaBucks jackpot

SALEM, Ore. -- One ticket won Saturday's jaw-dropping $12.5 million Oregon Lottery MegaBucks game, and the lucky man has now been identified.
Rodney Schwirse, a 61-year-old St. Helens resident, hit the lucky number combination and will take home quite a jackpot.
Schwirse purchased the winning ticket at the Red Apple Market in St. Helens. The market will receive $100,000 for selling him the lucky numbers.
Schwirse chose the one-time payment option and should receive approximately $6.25 million, before taxes.
He may walk away with more than $4 million after paying 33 percent in taxes.
He said he plans on helping some local workers recently laid offl.
"I know I'm going to donate a lot of donations to charities to people in town, they lost the (Boise) mill here," Schwirse said.

Schwirse's lucky combination of numbers was 5-12-25-29-31-43.
