Computer hardware and laptops were stolen from Free Geek, a non-profit agency that accepts donated computer equipment, refurbishes it and then turns it over to other needy non-profit groups.
According to a Free Geek board member, some of the stolen items were prepped and ready to go out to the Lower Chinook Tribe, Veterans for Peace, the Council of Jewish Women, and Bolivian Medical Exchange.
Thieves also reportedly took all the laptop memory at Free Geek, which members say will force a halt to their laptop rebuilding program.
Members were asking the public for donations of cash or no longer used equipment.
