10:58 AM PST on Saturday, November 15, 2008
SALEM, Ore. -- A 24-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for the shooting death of a Willamette University cook in 2007.
Robert Taylor Hendricks had pleaded guilty and was sentenced Friday.
Prosecutor Doug Prince says Hendricks' girlfriend had had a relationship with Cesar Eusebio Roldan, and jealousy may have been the motive.

Hendricks faces an additional four years on burglary and robbery convictions. One of his defense attorneys says he was using substances at the time.
Family members say Roldan was, at age 34, a single father who just had gained custody of his son, then 11. The youth now lives with relatives.
