Detectives with the Clackamas County Sheriff Department just released a composite sketch of the suspect from the recent rape of a Portland woman.

The alleged attack occurred Friday, November 8th when a man broke into the apartment of a 20-year-old Portland woman.

The woman told police she first answered a knock at her door to find a stranger who asked for someone she didn't know. She closed and locked the door.

Police say they believe the man then went to the back of the apartment and broke in through an unlocked screen door.

The woman’s roommate apparently scared the man away after the rape by trying to open the bedroom’s locked door. He tried to empty the victim’s purse, then jumped out the bedroom window and fled.

Police believe he ran into a busy neighborhood near Clackamas Town Center. Police searched the mall late Friday, but found nothing

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, mid 20’s, medium build, 5’4, 150 pounds, pocked marked face, wearing a light colored baseball hat-on backwards, gray zipped-up jacket, dark shirt, and kaki pants that may be muddy.

The woman also said her attacker spoke English very clearly.

Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Department, is offering up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 503-655-8218.
