GRESHAM, Ore. -- A young Gresham mother is accused of leaving her baby alone to go out drinking with friends, according to Gresham Police Department.

KGW report on mom's arrest

Police said 19-year-old Gloria Celeste Moore left her 10-month-old daughter in a playpen for more than six hours to party with friends.

This happened Friday night at the Berry Ridge Apartments in Gresham. Police were called out to apartment complex after neighbors complained of people yelling in the parking lot.

Police said, when Moore's friends dropped her off, they became suspicious of her behavior. She wouldn't let them inside the apartment and said her daughter was with a babysitter. They didn't believe her and forced her to open the door.

Then, Moore's friends told police they found the 10-month-old girl in a puddle of her urine, alone in her playpen.

Moore was arrested and taken to the Multnomah County Jail. She will be charged with one count of child neglect and her bail was set for $2,500.
