Sex attack suspect used phone chat line to find woman in Silverton

SALEM, Ore. -- A suspect was still on the loose Thursday after attacking a woman he met on a phone chat line, Marion County deputies said.
Investigators were called to a Silverton woman’s home around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The woman told detectives she met a man through the telephone dating service "Live Links," then invited him to her house.

Detectives said he sexually assaulted the woman and fled.
He was described as a black man between 35 and 40 years old with a skinny build, he was driving a burgundy colored two-door Cadillac.
Anyone with information was asked to call police.
Police cautioned anyone using phone or Internet dating that meets for the first time to pick a public place, keep the date short and make sure someone knows where you are.
