New Kids on the Block cancel Rose Garden appearance

Portland fans of the once-dominant teen boy band New Kids on the Block got bad news Thursday when the Rose Garden announced the cancellation of the band's Portland appearance.

The Rose Garden sent out the following announcement to ticket holders:
Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict the New Kids on the Block concert, originally scheduled for Rose Garden Arena on Sunday, November 23, 2008 has been cancelled.
Ticket refunds were available at ticket purchase locations.
