WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- A woman driving near Wilsonville is fortunate to be uninjured after a rock crashed through the sunroof of her vehicle wihle she was driving near the Willamette River.

Two 14-year-olds apprehended in the crime now were charged Thursday in a Clackamas County juvenile court with throwing an object over an overpass, criminal mischief, trespassing and menacing.

Joanie Kruse told KGW she was driving near Willamette River in Wilsonville when a rock smashed through her sunroof and hit her.Amazingly, she only had minor injuries.

Kruse pulled into a nearby business, Boat Works. A worker there Jimmy Roberts saw the rock in the road. Then saw four teens near the railroad throwing rocks. The 20 year-old sprinted from his work and caught up with the kids. He was surprised to see how young they were.

"They were still throwing rocks off the edge. I ran after them. I brought them back and made them come with me and sat them against the building until the cops showed up," said Roberts.

The teens tried to talk their way out of it.

"They kept saying we just need to tell you what happened and I said you don't need to tell me anything because I don't want to get mad. They had planned this and they planned to scare somebody. Well it worked," said Kruse, the victim.

The two 14 year-olds were scheduled to make a court appearance at the juvenile courthouse in Clackamas County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
