Portland has been described as one of the most livable cities in the nation, but BusinessWeek Magazine recently dubbed the City of Roses the third most toxic city in America.

The ranking was based on a report by Environmental Data Resources, a provider of environmental risk information services based in Milford, Conn.

The article states that the city contains 62,466 contaminated sites, or one for every 34 people, and 20,655 leaking storage tanks.
