TIGARD, Ore. -- Two people were killed and a third critically injured when a Camaro spun out of control and smashed into a house in Tigard early Friday morning.

KGW report on crash

Witnesses told police they saw spinning headlights and then heard a loud crash near Summer Lake Park.

Upon impact, one of the men was thrown from the vehicle and landed on the roof of the home, police said. He was rushed to Oregon Health and Science University hospital with critical injuries.

Authorities later identified him as Cory Warwick, a 22-year-old Tigard resident.

Warwick remains hospitalized and is listed in critical condition, according to Tigard police.

Shimona Ruscioelli, a 22-year-old Portland resident, was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Nick Anderson, a 21-year-old Beaverton resident, was also in the car. He was transported to OHSU, where he died.

Investigators are still at the scene, collecting evidence in an effort to determine what caused the crash.

Bonnie Tanuvasa said her husband and two young children were inside sleeping when the car hit her house. She was at work.

"It cracked the side of our wall," she said.

The Tanuvasas were not hurt, but they were certainly shaken up emotionally.

"He [husband] said it was a frightening noise," Bonnie added.

The home is located at 13495 SW Brittany Dr. Investigators have not yet released a damage estimate.
