Mountain snow levels to dip
04:09 PM PDT on Tuesday, October 7, 2008
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Fall snow levels could dip this week as colder air and showers blew into the Northwest.
KGW Meteorologist Dave Salesky said Tuesday that by Thursday snow could fall in the Cascades at around 3,000 feet.
Showers and sun breaks were expected off and on Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low 60s in what Salesky called “splash and dash.”
Rain could be heavy at times in the Columbia Gorge.
But by the weekend skies were expected to be drier with highs approaching 70 Sunday, Salesky said.
