BEND, Ore. -- Bend police report a 38-year-old man was stabbed to death Monday by his girlfriend’s son.

Police responded to a disturbance Monday night, where they found Tracy Rost with stab wounds to his chest and back.

Rost was transported to a local hospital and underwent emergency surgery but died from the stabbing.

Investigators believe Rost was stabbed with a sword by Kaleb Brown, 16, the son of his girlfriend.

Brown was arrested and charged with manslaughter. He is currently being held at the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice facility.

Bail has not yet been determined.
