PORTLAND -- A Vancouver man accused of shooting into the driver-side door of a car that cut him off near Westfield last week appeared in court Monday.

Christopher P. Partridge, 25, faces two charges of first degree assault in the shooting.

He was arrested Wednesday after police traced license plate numbers from the car, which belonged to Partridge’s girlfriend. A loaded handgun and several spent bullet casings were found inside.

 Background: Vancouver road rage attack

Partridge admitted to the shooting and bail was set at $150,000.

Court documents indicate Partridge, an Iraq War veteran, is under treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.

Neither the driver nor passenger of the car Partridge shot at was injured.
