Dead whale washes up on Wash. Coast

LONG BEACH, Wash. -- A dead humpback whale washed up on the Southern Washington Coast Wednesday afternoon and now wildlife officials want to know how it died.

The female whale showed up at Klipsan Beach, located between Long Beach and Ocean Park.

Wildlife officials said it looked as though the whale, stretching about 54 feet long, had been dead for a while.
A necropsy was scheduled for Friday to try and determine the exact cause of death.
