GRESHAM, Ore. -- Three suspicious fires broke out at an abandoned property in Gresham and police think they may have been intentionally lit.
The property is located on Orient Drive, near 282nd Avenue in Gresham.
The Gresham Fire Department's battalion chief told Newschannel 8 that investigators found evidence at the scene that all three fires were connected.
The first blaze ignited on Wednesday afternoon in a mobile trailer on the property. Then, a couple hours later, another fire was spotted in an abandoned barn. A while later, around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a massive blaze broke out in an abandoned home on the property.
"We have some evidence to make us believe it's suspicious. Police are still investigating so I don't want to release any more information on that," said Gresham Battalion Chief Keith Neely.
Neely added that all three structures were a total loss, but no one was hurt. Fire crews planned to monitor the blaze and let it burn itself out, because it was an abandoned home.
Police and firefighters said they would continue their investigation, and at the this point, no arrests had been made.
