People evacuated from downtown buildings after gas line puncture

A construction worker dug into a natural gas line downtown Portland Thursday, forcing crews to evacuate nearby buildings.
It happened near SW 6th and Yamhill where gas started to leak after the four-inch line was punctured.
Firefighters evacuated dozens of people until the leak could be shut off. No one was hurt and crews were assessing the damage.
