A Clark County man was taken into custody after a late night swat stand-off.

The SWAT situation lasted for more than an hour in the 13000 block of NE 14th Avenue.

At approximately 10:15pm Sunday, Clark County 911 was called by a distraught woman saying she had been involved in a domestic violence incident involving her husband, said Sgt. Scott Schanaker with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect had been drinking for several days and arguing with his wife, Clark County deputies said.

The woman told authorities there had been an ongoing argument with her husband, Justin Holgin, 34. She ran out of the house after she claimed he pointed a gun at her, deputies said.

At one point, she said Holgin asked her to shoot him, deputies said.

“Due to the presence of a firearm in this residential neighborhood of the Salmon Creek area of Clark County, the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT Team was activated and took control of the event,” said Sgt. Schanaker.

Around 1am Monday, Holgin surrendered peacefully, deputies said.

No one was hurt, and deputies said they do not believe Holgin fired any shots.
