Kathleen O’Brien Erickson, 22, was lodged at the Washington County Jail, Tigard police said. She was arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor.
Erickson was found Wednesday with the 15-year-old alleged victim at a park. The teen became acquainted with Erickson the previous school year when Erickson was an assistant coach at Tigard High School, according to police.
The arrest followed an investigation by a Tigard Police School Resource Officer who determined that unlawful activity by Erickson took place in the teen’s presence.
The teen’s parents had told police they were concerned about their daughter and the continued unwanted contact by the former coach.
Erickson had previously been advised not to have contact with the teen, police said.
