Joel Kenneth Jensen – who still requires treatment for his injuries -- was charged with murder, assault and burglary in connection to the August 7th shooting, said Albany Police Captain Eric Carter.

Police responding to 2910 NW Miller Lane in North Albany on the day of the shooting found Deborah Davis, 58, and Jensen, suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.

Davis was transported to Samaritan Albany General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Jensen was transported to Samaritan Albany General Hospital and later transferred to Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland for treatment.

The investigation revealed that Davis and Jensen had been having an affair, according to police. Davis had ended the relationship several weeks before the shooting.

The day of the shooting, Jensen went to Davis' home and got into an argument with her. Soon he assaulted Tim Hardin with a handgun, Carter said.

Hardin escaped but Jensen shot Deborah Davis in the head and then did the same to himself. Hardin was treated and released for his injuries.
