One-of-a-kind puppets stolen from Portland theater
12:18 PM PDT on Monday, August 18, 2008
One-of-a-kind puppets were stolen from a Portland theater, officials said Monday.
Tears of Joy Theatre is missing the puppets from its Japanese Folk Tale “Little One-Inch”.
They are needed for puppet shows in September. They were noticed missing Monday morning and were last seen June 21 being packed after the last show of the season.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call 503-248-0557.
Tears of Joy Theatre is nationally recognized for its innovation in puppetry. It is a resident company of the Portland Center for the Performing Arts.
