A cyclist injured in a road rage incident Friday was released from the hospital on Saturday, but the physical and emotional scars from the crash remained.

Tim Mastne had ‘road rash’ on his face, back, arms and legs after being struck by a driver Friday afternoon in what police called a road race incident. Mastne can't believe anyone would strike a cyclist on purpose.

"It's wrong," said Mastne. "I don't want this to happen to me... I don't want it to happen to anyone else."

Police say the car's driver, 46-year-old Johnny Eschweiler, got mad after a different cyclist reportedly kicked his car.

Investigators say eschweiler hit the first cyclist, then hit Mastne.

Officers said Eschweiler sped up and hit the cyclist, 25-year-old Ben Ramsdell, who rolled onto the hood of the car, smashing the windshield.

The car continued on about 75 feet, sideswiping a car and hitting a truck before turning a corner where Mastne, who was riding towards the car, was then hit, investigators said.

Police arrested Eschweiler and charged him with two counts of attempted assault.

Neither cyclist's injuries were life-threatening. Neither cyclist was wearing a helmet.

Mastne's bike was totaled, and he says he doesn't have the money to replace it
