In a press release, it was announced that NAOC Holdings, a Los Angeles-based expansion stage venture capital firm, had acquired PC Club. The California-based personal computer retailing chain has 37 locations nationwide.
According to the release, the acquisition will allow all PC Club stores, as well as the chain's two retail Web sites, PCClub.com and ClubIT.com, to remain open with business as usual.
On Tuesday, customers were warned that the financially troubled store would be closing its Portland area locations and customers who brought their computers in for repair had been urged to pick their computers up as soon as possible.
