The service will take place at 7 p.m. in the Gearhart Community Park, located on the corner of Pacific Way and Marion. Community members are invited to attend and participate in the informal service.

Jerry Gaidos, chaplain with the Clatsop County Sheriff's Department, and Red Cross mental health volunteers will be available to provide additional support, according to organizers.

Last Monday, a small plane crashed into a Gearhart home, killing the pilot and passenger and three children inside the house, which exploded into flames.

Those killed in the home were identified as Julia Reimann, 10, of Beaverton and her cousins, Hesam Farrar Masoudi, 12, and Grace Masoudi, 8, of Denver. A Portland mom and two of her children who were also in the house were burned but are expected to survive.

The pilot was Jason Ketcheson, 36, a Clatsop County resident, and the passenger was Frank Toohey, 58, of Warrenton.

The families in the house that was destroyed were renting the Gearhart home for a family reunion. A house next door was also burned.
