VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A flatbed truck carrying a steel silo lost its load on State Route 14 Friday, crushing a car, authorities said.
The truck was eastbound on the SR 14 off-ramp when the silo came off and landed on a Subaru Outback, said Jim Flaherty, spokesman for the Vancouver Fire Department.
No one was in the vehicle and no one was injured.

“It is believed the owners of the Subaru are cycling in a wilderness area nearby and had parked their vehicle on the side of the road,” Flaherty said.
The flattened car was towed away, leaving debris along the shoulder where it was parked.
The incident happened about 2:30 p.m.
