If your commute takes you over the Burnside Bridge, you’ll need to find another route for the rest of this week.

The Burnside Bridge will close Wednesday night at 8 p.m. and won’t reopen until Sunday afternoon. The bridge is closing so crews can make repairs involving the lift span. It will be closed to drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.

A second closure was planned for late next week.

The 80-year-old bridge is in the midst of a two-year repair project that is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2007.
