Corvallis man arrested for hit and run road rage accident

Corvallis Police arrested 57-year Steve Nanninga on Monday for reckless driving, hit and run, and two counts of attempted assault.

Nanninga told police he was driving west on NW Circle Boulevard Monday afternoon, when a car drove up behind him. He said he felt it was following too closely, so he hit his brakes to aggressively warn the driver.
Both cars stopped for a red light, and that’s when Nanninga said a passenger in the other car gestured at him. Nanninga responded by following the vehicle after it turned onto NW Witham Hill Drive.
Police say Nanninga hit the car while trying to pass it, and then left the scene without stopping. The driver and passenger in the other car were not hurt.More Headlines...
