Salem girl pleads guilty to niece shaking death

SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- A 13-year-old Salem girl has pleaded guilty to shaking her 16-month-old niece to death while babysitting.

Police said this is the home is where the incident happened.
Rosita Carbajal pleaded guilty to manslaughter Tuesday in Marion County Juvenile Court.
Background: Teen arrested
Prosecutors said the teenager will be placed in the custody of the Oregon Youth Authority until she is 25.
The teen admitted shaking her niece, Ruby Navarro-Carbajal, when the toddler would not stop crying.
An autopsy showed the child had died from a traumatic brain injury.
