TILLAMOOK, Ore. -- A 35-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon when the ATV she was driving collided with a pickup on a sharp curve on the gravel Testament Creek Road in southeast Tillamook County, the sheriff said.

A 13-year-old girl who was a passenger on the same all-terrain vehicle was transported in critical condition to the Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, said Tillamook County Sheriff Todd Anderson.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, Anderson said.

The victims were not immediately identified.

Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the cause of the accident, he said.
