KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to an armed robbery at a casino last summer.
Cody Jonas of Klamath Falls is scheduled to be sentenced to more than 12 years in prison at a September hearing in U.S. District Court.
Authorities say the 29-year-old fled with $80,000 after pointing a gun at a cashier while robbing the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino near Chiloquin.
Klamath County District Attorney Ed Caleb says state charges against Jonas for the casino robbery and another crime are expected to be dismissed once he is sentenced on the federal conviction in September.
