CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, Ore. -- A search to recover any remains of an eight-year-old Portland boy who disappeared last year at Crater Lake National Park is planned for next week.

The recovery search for Samuel Boehlke will include rescue dogs and helicopters at the boy's last known location in the Cleetwood Cove area
Samuel disappeared last October after stopping with his father at a lookout area on East Rim Drive, about a quarter mile from Cleetwood Cove.
The pair were hiking up toward a forested area when Samuel, who liked to play hide and seek, ran ahead and his father lost sight of him.
A massive search on foot, horseback and by helicopter failed to find any sign of the boy -- who suffered from a mild form of autism that made it difficult for searchers because he was frightened by whistles and sirens.
