Vancouver father of four changes plea to guilty in child rape case

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A Vancouver father of four has pleaded guilty to rape of a child, officials said Monday.

It was a plea change for Jeffrey Spady, who had initially pleaded innocent.
There will be a pre-sentencing investigation, and sentencing will take place sometime in September.
The 40-year-old was extradited from northeastern Montana last year.

He and his wife, Kim, left their Amboy, Washington, home with their four children in September. That was the same day a court commissioner ruled Jeff Spady could not live with his family in light of allegations he sexually abused a girl for years.
Their children were placed in foster care.
